Daniel is freelance photojournalist who splits his time between Washington D.C. and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Daniel developed his love for photography from his father, who was an avid landscape photographer, and his love for politics from his grandfather, who was a reporter with the San Francisco Chronicle. Daniel is passionate about capturing political and national news in the nation's capital, while telling the story of every event he photographs.
Daniel served as the News Photo Editor for the GW Hatchet, George Washington University's independent student newspaper. He is a currently pursuing both a BA in Photojournalism & Political Science at the George Washington University. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and The San Francisco Chronicle, among others.
